When I first heard about Babylegs I wasn't sure what all the hype was about. It seemed odd to put leg warmers on baby, let alone a boy baby. But the more I saw them online, the more they started to appeal to me. I finally decided to get a pair or two. After calling around locally and checking out stores online, I found that online would be cheaper even with shipping if I found a good sale. I found out about a sale online at Baby's Best Designs, with free shipping to BC I paid only $9 a pair (locally would cost $16 plus tax!!) so for that price I decided on 3 pair; spearmint, marine and jacks (all now discontinued). When they first arrived I wasn't that thrilled, the colors online were a bit misleading and I wasn't sure how these little tubes of fabric would benefit me in any way. But almost instantly over the next week I fell in love. It was winter at the time when I first received them and they quickly became an everyday staple of L's wardrobe. L wore them under his pants whenever we went out for an extra layer and at home he wears them with just a onsie, which makes diaper changes a breeze, no more fighting the squirmy little guy to get his pants on. In fact just recently L was sick for the first time with a temp over 100 degrees and lived in his babylegs for the week. Now that it is getting hot out and we are without air conditioning L goes jammieless to bed and often wears just a dipe and onsie or just a dipe, I keep a pair of babylegs his crib and in the middle of the night if his legs or arms are cold I can slip them on easily without him waking up. Needless to say since my first purchase whenever I see another sale I jump at the chance to get more. We now have 9 pairs, all very masculine, and I have never paid more than $10 per pair and that's including shipping. I have purchased babylegs online within Canada from Baby's Best Designs and Baby Planet Boutique. I have also purchased them straight from US based Babylegs and did not incur any customs fees. Babylegs retail $12US and $15.99CAD; I recommend finding a good sale and stocking up. Since they claim to fit birth-age 6, they are a good investment and will quickly become a favorite in any child's wardrobe.
