Cuddle your baby

Once it became clear that the Lucky Baby Sling was not for us I began to look for a new carrier. After much research I knew that I had to have the CuddlyWrap by Peapod Creations. The CuddlyWrap is a long piece of cotton that wraps around your body to support your baby in numerous positions. You can wear your baby in the newborn cradle style carry, on your front facing out, on your front facing in or on your back. It is good from the time your babe is born all the way up to age 3 or 30lbs. Because of its length it’s one size fits all and can fit any body type. The CuddlyWrap is also completely ergonomic which is great for when you have to wear baby for long periods of time. It also holds the baby in closely against the adult body, supporting the whole length of the spine. The legs are supported in a position that contributes to their continuing hip development. Upon first receiving the wrap I was very confused at the long strip of fabric that was supposed to carry my baby but it comes with both an instruction manual and instructional DVD. Being visual I opted for the DVD. After watching the DVD it became more clear and less confusing. The first few times I put on the wrap I needed to watch the DVD to walk me through the steps but now I am a pro. I could do it blindfolded if I needed too. It only takes a minute to put the wrap on and I can get L in and out without any help. This wrap was fantastic when L was younger and needed to be held in the newborn cradle carry, unlike the Lucky Baby Sling it was comfortable for both L and I. We still both love it now that L is bigger but now I carry him either facing out or facing in. L loves the cuddly so much. He smiles and squeals whenever he sees it and knows I am going to put it on. L is also not the type of baby to just fall asleep anywhere, he won’t sleep in his swing or his bouncy chair or even playing with his toys on the floor but he loves to nap in his cuddly. I never feel as though he is going to fall out and I can use both my hands freely as needed. L still has the flexibility of being able to look around at everything and when he does fall asleep you just pull part of the wrap over his head for support.
