With the weather being so cold one thing I never leave the house with now is our Secure2Me blanket. What makes this blanket different from most is the 4 clips secured to each corner that can clip to your child's stroller, car seat, baby carrier or almost anywhere you might need it and it fits little ones from newborn to preschool. I love the clips because this ensures that I will never loose another blanket again while out in public or will never end up dragging L's blanket under the stroller wheel for blocks until it is ruined, ugh. We have the Blue Bon Bon blanket which is a very super plush minky one made of two different but equally soft minky fabrics. This makes it especially great for cold weather but they do have some other fabric options for varying types of weather. (We are very curious about their solar-veil blankets that keep the sun out while still keeping your little one cool for warmer weather or climates.) L loves the Secure2Me blanket and even will tuck it into our diaper bag before leaving the house if it somehow got taken out and not put back in. He is a huge fan of minky so I'm sure it's one of the many reasons he loves this blanket. Our blanket has gotten a lot of use and been through many trips through the washer and dryer and still looks as good as the day we received it.
